Fraught with challenge, racism, internment and isolation, Japanese Canadians Have Struggled to succeed in Canada.

With so many Japanese Canadians seemingly doing well in modern Canada, it is hard to envision a time when they were subjected to so much hate, racism, and even locked into internment camps during wartime. Canada may be known for being welcoming and open, but that was not always the case for many who arrived here to build a better life and were dedicated to building a better Canada for themselves and others.
